Punta Aderci
Stone beach
It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy thanks in part to its namesake overflow that emphasizes human presence. It slopes down from the hills to a pebble beach; to our right we can admire a promontory about 50m high overlooking the sea that provides shelter in the breeding season for a variety of bird species. It represents one of the few places where it is not possible to cross, except by swimming, the coastline of the Costa dei Trabocchi.
At one time it was possible to access a small parking lot-mostly congested, by the way-behind the beach. Today, with the establishment of the protected area, parking spaces have been created at the entrance of the road leading to the promontory. The rest area can be accessed by entering from State Highway 16 and heading into the industrial area of the port of Vasto.
